About

Aloha from Dr. Liz

As your therapist, it’s my goal to create a comfortable space in which we can work together to: Take stock of your current situation Identify what’s most important to you, and Practice strategies that will help you create a more fulfilling life. Our work together can include looking at habits that no longer help you, practicing mindfulness strategies to help you connect to the here and now, and clarifying what values you care about the most moving forward. We can set goals that help you get where you want to be, and practice strategies to help you get there. Much of my therapeutic work draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy practices. I love this approach because it’s all about helping clients create a life that is filled with what’s important to them, and is very flexible depending on what you hope to get out of therapy. I currently provide telehealth services to residents of Hawaii and feel very fortunate to have called Kauai home for 7 years. I am trained as both a clinical and a school psychologist and provide therapy for adults, adolescents, and children. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help people process traumatic experiences and move forward with their lives. I completed my doctorate at the University of Minnesota, interned with the Hawaii Psychology Internship Consortium, and completed my postdoctoral training while working for Mokihana School Based Behavioral Health in elementary and high schools on Kauai.
